Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Dan Abarientos. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada with my family when I was 4 years old. Surprisingly, I’m still fluent in Tagalog. I lived most of my life in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After graduating from Life University in Georgia, I practiced for 10 years in my own community before my wife Danielle and I decided to bring our son Zevi to Calgary to be near family! We’ve been here since May 2023 and we’re loving it!
I became a chiropractor due to my own personal experience. As a high school athlete, I suffered from severe lower back pains from competitive badminton/volleyball/track. During that time my family was going to Maples Chiropractic, and they encouraged me to do the same. After a few weeks of regular chiropractic care, I felt 100% better and was able to continue playing the sports I was passionate about!
I do what I do now because I know it helps people get better! Not just physically but mentally, and not just short term but long term! My favourite part of chiropractic is giving patients their adjustments! I love seeing their smiles brighten up the room, especially when it’s the first time!
